Principal and "Untuk Indonesia" Donated Food Packages For Medical Personnel, 13 May 2020

(Jakarta, Wednesday, May 13, 2020) - Asset Management company Principal Asset Management (Principal) donated food packages that were distributed through the organization Untuk Indonesia. Food packages were distributed to medical personnel on the front line of the fight against COVID-19, mainly in DKI Jakarta and its surrounding area.
Through this donation program titled "The Giving Chain", Principal encouraged other business entities, as well as the general public, to participate in taking a part in the fight against COVID-19, by providing assistance and help to affected communities, and to source locally from small and medium businesses in surrounding area, in order to also contribute to the economy.

"The Giving Chain is essentially a form of our support for small and medium enterprises affected by the COVID-19 pandemic," said Principal Chief Executive Officer, Agung Budiono. "We would like to contribute to the recovery effort, and to inspire people to use this scheme in their efforts to ease the burden on others."

"Untuk Indonesia", driven by professionals in Jakarta, began since the COVID-19 pandemic broke out to mobilize "in kind & in cash" relief as well as the distribution of balanced and nutritious home-cooked food and drinks for medical personnel and volunteers at the forefront. In the past month "Untuk Indonesia" has sent a total of 15,000 packages of food, snacks and drinks to 10 hospitals in Jakarta and surrounding areas, as well as in Semarang and Gorontalo.
"We hope that Principal’s support for the initiative of "Untuk Indonesia" through the platform kitabisa.com/gerakanindonesia can also be followed by other companies so that more food packages can be distributed to medical personnel," said Tantrie Soetjipto, coordinator for "Untuk Indonesia ".
